Actress and vocalist Gale Robbins got her start in the early 1940s working with Art Jarrett during the time that he led the re-grouped Hal Kemp Orchestra. She later starred in several films and musicals and from 1949 to 1950 hosted the Hollywood House television program. In 1958 she released a jazz/lounge album backed by Eddie Cano and His Orchestra. She passed away from lung cancer in 1980.
