Paul Kain led a 12-piece orchestra during the 1930s and 1940s. From 1939 to 1946 and again in 1948 the orchestra was the house band at the Spanish Ballroom in Glen Echo, Maryland. Various vocalists through the years were Adele Van, Joan Ritter, Helen Martin, and Gary Stevens.
