Vocalist Jane Harvey sang with Benny Goodman in 1945. She was working at the Blue Angel in New York when Desi Arnaz approached her in 1946 to sing with his band. Though at first she was reluctant to join another orchestra she was persuaded by Bob Hope, for whom Arnaz was acting as musical director, to travel to California and appear on his radio program. Harvey recorded four songs with Arnaz. After a successful engagement at Ciro's she remained behind at the club when the band moved on.
In 1947 Harvey recorded the Page Cavenaugh Trio. She also sang with Emile Petti's orchestra and toured with Hope's USO show in 1948.
